Warehouse Logistics Coordinator

At Capital Forest Products, we’re a one-stop shop for premium building materials, and we provide outstanding commitment and service to our customers. We’re looking for a Warehouse Logistics Coordinator to keep our Leola and Paradise (Pennsylvania) warehouses running smoothly and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Logistics Coordinator assists the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, and dispatching at the Leola and Paradise warehouses, and occasionally delivers Capital Forest Products' products to customers. Playing a crucial role in the supply chain and logistics process, the Warehouse Logistics Coordinator maintains strong relationships with our vendors, customers, and internal staff.  

This position is fully on site (5 days per week) at our Leola Warehouse and Paradise Warehouse. Regular in-person presence is an essential function of the role to support efficient warehouse operations, collaboration, and customer service. Remote work is limited to occasional, pre-approved situations in alignment with company policy.

Key Priorities and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Control:

  • Manages inventory, including verifying all incoming inventory against purchase orders and resolving discrepancies and damages; maintaining accurate inventory records; assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory; creating and maintaining inventory item codes and specialty products within the enterprise resource system (ERP); monitoring inventory organization, labeling, accessibility, and material condition; and maintaining organized documentation of inbound and outbound materials.
  • Creates and manages purchase orders related to inventory replenishment; and tracks vendor orders, incoming freight, and delivery timelines.

Warehouse Operations & Safety:

  • Ensures proper material handling, receiving, staging stacking, storage, and loading and unloading procedures.
  • Supports warehouse staff while maintaining accountability, productivity, and safety standards.
  • Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager to maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouses to ensure optimal operational functionality; identifies operational improvements to increase efficiency, organization, and safety; and ensures the warehouses present a professional appearance to customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Prints and distributes pick lists, delivery paperwork, and shipping documentation accurately, and verifies materials before shipment.
Logistics, Dispatching & Transportation:
  • Completes all state and federal requirements for highway taxes and duties associated with tractor trailer usage.
  • Coordinates daily delivery schedules, freight coordination, and inbound shipments, ensuring efficient delivery routing while balancing customer expectations, timing, and operational capacity.
  • Dispatches drivers and manages routes, scheduling priorities, and logistical changes throughout the day; and maintains detailed shipping records within the transportation management system (TMS).

Driver & Fleet Management:

  • Responsible for all duties related to Capital Forest Products drivers, including driver training and evaluations.
  • Assists Warehouse Manager with monitoring condition, routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, registrations, and service scheduling for warehouse equipment and vehicles, and promptly and proactively informing the Warehouse Manager of any maintenance or safety concerns; and maintains service and maintenance records for warehouse equipment and vehicles.
Customer, Vendor & Internal Coordination:
  • Communicates professionally and proactively with customers regarding deliveries, scheduling updates, and order status.
  • Serves as a liaison between the warehouse, drivers, sales staff, vendors, customers, and management, including follow-through regarding operational changes, backorders, delivery timing, and inventory availability.
  • Support sales and operations teams with project logistics, scheduling, and material planning.
  • Responds to internal and external requests in a timely manner and supports team needs with a service-oriented approach.
Delivery Operations (As Needed):
  • On an as-needed basis, delivers Capital Forest Products' products to customers in a safe and timely manner; loads and unloads products onto and off delivery trucks; inspects products before and after delivery; provides exceptional customer service to customers during delivery; and completes delivery paperwork/documentation in a timely manner.

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, distribution, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years' demonstrated warehouse operations and logistics experience, including dispatching and FTL/LTL; rail experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification, with the ability to operate a 5,000-12,000-pound forklift.
  • Current, valid Class A tractor trailer license (CDL), with a clean driving record; flatbed experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Transportation management systems (TMS)
    • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Professionalism and courtesy in frequent interactions with freight vendors, customers, the commodities department, and internal sales teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience and comfort working closely with colleagues in an open, fast-paced workspace.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Terrific Total Compensation Package:

  • Annual starting salary of $70,000.00 to $75,000.00, commensurate with experience; eligible for bonuses
