PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR (PART-TIME)
Summary of Position:
The Payroll Administrator (non-exempt, 20-25 hours per week) is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the bi-weekly payroll processing of approximately 80 employees, in an efficient, accurate and confidential manner. He/she must be well organized, attentive to detail, and able to work well independently, under pressure, and with deadlines. The Payroll Administrator should have excellent interpersonal skills as he/she will engage in frequent contact with Association and Foundation staff members, vendors and service providers. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:
- Processes bi-weekly payroll accurately using ADP Time & Labor to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency
- Manages Time & Attendance with support staff and supervisors while maintaining precise payroll records
- Maintains journal entry and general ledger records.
- Ensures compliance and adheres to USNA Alumni Association & Foundation policies relating to processing of wages and paid leave
- Provides service to all employees regarding concerns with payroll, research and trouble shoot any/all inquiries
- Maintains business controls and audit trails for all payroll transactions, garnishments, etc.
- Maintains control of company payroll files, with strict confidentiality
- Provides audit support to the Treasury Department
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration strongly preferred (high school degree required).
- 3-4 years of payroll processing, accounts payable, accounting, or other relevant experience required
- 2 years of ADP WorkForce Now experience and knowledge required
- Strong working knowledge of payroll practices and labor & compliance guidelines
- Ability to anticipate important timing needs that may impact the company’s payroll and benefits
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word); Financial Edge software experience a plus
- Have up-to-date computer experience and training necessary to fulfill the duties of this position
- Ability to handle highly-confidential payroll information
- Must be detail-oriented
